Clear about your data.

Teara keeps only the information needed to build your trip and provide the services you choose to use. This page explains what is handled, why it is needed, and where it goes.

The Teara app

Information you provide

When you connect forwarded bookings, Teara uses Sign in with Apple to create your forwarding account. The relay receives only messages sent to your personal Teara forwarding address. It does not read or scan your inbox.

The relay may temporarily hold the forwarded message subject, body text, and supported PDF attachments so your device can retrieve them. Teara processes the booking details on your device and lets you review them before adding anything to a trip.

Account and notification data

Teara stores the identifier supplied by Sign in with Apple, the name you choose to share, your personal forwarding address, authentication tokens, and an Apple Push Notification service device token when notifications are enabled. Booking alerts contain no booking details.

Your trips

Your trips and trip building blocks are stored on your device and sync through the private iCloud account signed into that device. Teara does not use trip data for advertising and does not sell it.

Trips you choose to share

Private trips remain on your devices and in your private iCloud account. When you explicitly invite someone to a trip, Teara stores a shared copy through Cloudflare so accepted members can receive updates. That copy can include the trip title, destinations, dates, itinerary blocks, checklist items, notes, booking providers, and confirmation numbers.

Shared-trip members can see the shared trip content and basic member profiles such as display names, Teara handles, and avatars. The trip administrator controls invitations and membership. Leaving or being removed deletes the shared trip from that member’s local Teara store; deleting a shared trip removes it for all members.

Retention

Forwarded messages are marked as received after your device retrieves them. Retrieved messages are deleted from the relay after 7 days. Messages that have not been retrieved are deleted after 30 days. You can delete your forwarding account in the app. Your trips remain on your device and in your private iCloud account unless you delete them there.

Service providers

Teara relies on Apple for Sign in with Apple, iCloud, and push notifications, and on Cloudflare for the booking relay and limited operational storage.

Each provider handles information under its own terms and privacy policy. Teara shares only the information needed to provide the requested function.

LinkedIn authorization

Teara may use LinkedIn's authorized tools to manage its official company page. Access is granted through LinkedIn and limited to the permissions needed for approved page management. It can be revoked through LinkedIn at any time.

Tracking and advertising

Teara does not track people across apps or websites. Teara does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Security

Teara uses encrypted connections for data in transit and provider security controls for stored data. Access credentials are kept outside public source code. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but Teara limits collection and access to what each feature needs.
